The drive from Jasná Escape takes approximately 30 minutes. Don’t bother looking for a large car park at Havránok, though. People park along the roadside—just make sure you are not blocking anyone and leave enough room for other vehicles to pass.
And one more piece of advice from personal experience: bring some water with you. I, of course, forgot mine. So when I spotted a little roof in the distance, I immediately thought: “Aha, a snack bar! Kofola! A Horalka!”
Well… don’t get too excited, like I did. Under that little roof, you can buy entrance tickets and a few lovely—but completely undrinkable—souvenirs. So make sure the water goes into your backpack before you set off.
The visit itself is not physically demanding, and you can comfortably allow one or two hours to explore the site. Comfortable shoes will come in handy—and so will your camera. The views over Liptovská Mara are well worth capturing.
